Seungtaek NA
Founder, Managing Partner
Seungtaek founded Daejoong Life Science in 2018. He is responsible for the overall activities of Daejoong including deal sourcing, due diligence, IP strategy, company creation, and investment. Prior to starting Daejoong, he had extensive experience in intellectual property as founder and managing partner of Mooil International IP Law Firm. He was also part of the Strategic Business Team at Hanwha Corporation.
Seungtaek has a B.A. in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Seoul National University.
Eunkyung KIM, PhD.
Senior Scientific Analyst
Eunkyung joined Daejoong Life Science in 2019. As Daejoong’s Senior Scientific Analyst, she brings deep pharmaceutical experience and insight to the team. She is responsible for scientific due diligence and R&D/clinical strategy for Daejoong’s portfolio companies. Prior to joining Daejoong, she worked at Genosco Inc. in Cambridge MA, as a research scientist where she researched a novel clinical-stage therapeutic candidate for lung cancer in collaboration with Yuhan, culminating in a deal of up to USD1.25B with Janssen. She was also a senior research scientist at Cellid, a Kosdaq-listed biotech.
Eunkyung has a PhD and Post-Doc in Pharmacy from Seoul National University.
Jeesoo LEE
Co-Managing Partner
Jeesoo is co-founder and Co-Managing Partner of Daejoong Life Science. She is responsible for the company’s strategic business planning, finance, and investor relations. Before co-founding Daejoong, she had a career in the Strategic Business Team in Samsung Securities where she took part in building the company’s investor relations function and the Strategic Investment Team in Samsung Life Insurance, where she managed part of the Company’s overseas and alternative investment portfolio. She also spent some time as interpreter for the executive management of Korean-French joint venture Samsung Thales.
Jeesoo has an M.B.A. from Yonsei University and a B.A. from Seoul National University.
